Thanksgiving....

....was awesome! As usual, we had lunch with Matt's family and then went and had dinner at my Dad's house. It's always fun to get to eat a ton of food twice! What made it extra special, is that some of my family on my Dad's side that I have not seen since 2008 was able to come down and visit for a few days! My Aunt Sandy and Uncle Gary and my cousin Randy and his family were here and it was so nice to be able to the spend some time with them. I guess I hadn't realized how much I missed them. Naomi didn't really care for the turkey but she loved the mashed potatoes and rolls. I would love to post some pictures but I don't think I got the camera out once! Grrrr! Maybe I can get my Aunt Sandy to email me some of the ones that she took! Hope you all were able to enjoy the holiday and spend it in a way that made you happy!

Epic fail...

I have come to the realization that I majorly stink at blogging!! I have decided to make an effort to be a little bit better at it if only for my family members who aren't part of our day to day lives. I'm fairly certain there will be major catching up and new posts to come!

St Patricks Day!!!

In case anyone didn't know, tomorrow is St Patricks Day and as someone who is very proud of her Irish roots, it is one of my favorite holidays. I hope that you have a good day, however you choose to celebrate the day but please, be safe.

Oh hello blog...I remember you!

So I realized that it has been a while since I updated (I'm very bad at this whole blogging thing)...here is a condensed version of a few of the highlights since my last post...

In January, we celebrate Matt's birthday. We had a birthday dinner for him at his parents' house with his parents, grandparents and sister Emily.

I'm not sure that Emily will appreciate this but I LOVE the look on Jonah's face! That kid cracks me up...I love him!

Naomi learned something new which is resulted in us having to adjust her mattress in her crib...Before
After...she has learned to pull herself up on things and has been doing it nonstop!

Naomi's "Uncle" Doug came to visit from Oklahoma City for a couple of days and it was a blast!
I am just waiting for all of the trouble they will get into together! ;0)

February so far as been nice and quiet (knock on wood). Naomi is cutting her two top front teeth and thankfully is doing just as good as she did with her bottom two. I'm not sure why we got so lucky with such an easy going child but hey, I'm not going to complain. Life is pretty much normal and quiet in our neck of the woods which I am grateful for.
